University Property Office

The University Property Office serves the university by providing support on university-related real estate transactions. This includes leases, purchases and sales. Where the university is the tenant, the Property Office works with landlords to ensure leased properties are properly maintained for university use, and serves as the point of contact for tenants of office or lab spaces where Appalachian State University or an affiliated entity is the Lessor.

The property office assists the university with:

  • Property Purchases/Sales
  • Environmental Surveys
  • Boundary Surveys
  • Appraisals
  • Permits
  • Rent Collection and Disbursement
  • Easements
  • Data Collection and Record Keeping
  • Coordinating with the North Carolina State Property Office and other state agencies

The University Property Office is a unit of Facilities Management in Finance and Operations and the Office of General Counsel.
